STATE TIMES NEWSRAJOURI: Vice-President, Apni Party and Former Minister, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has expressed concern for not inviting any politician leader from Pir Panjal to represent in the scheduled All-Party Meet with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Addressing a press conference in Rajouri, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali welcomed the All-Party Meet with the PM and hoped that with this exercise the political process could be taken forward.“It is a welcome step and I hope that the difference between the public and administration can be reduced and an elected Govt. is replaced to win over the confidence of the people. The political parties including People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration which are going to participate in the meeting at New Delhi will speak for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. For the last three years, the people have faced a lot of problems in absence of an elected Govt. During these years, the developmental projects remained unfinished,” he added.“There is no development in Poonch and Rajouri as it stops at Akhnoor,” he added. He, however, expressed his reservation that no politician was invited to the meeting to represent Pir Panjal.“They have also not invited leaders of Tribal community and Pahari Speaking people,” he added and said that the issues of Rajouri-Poonch cannot be resolved by inviting leaders from Jammu and Srinagar.Meanwhile, he also demanded a separate Member Parliament for Lok Sabha from Pir Panjal.Ch. Zulfikar Ali said that the Member Parliaments who get elected from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat hardly bothered about the development of Poonch-Rajouri Districts after their elections to the Parliament.“Both the districts remained neglected with regard to development and the MPs have hardly played their role. In this background, the Pirpanjal region should be given a separate Parliamentary seat by the Govt so that the people can be represented in Parliament of India,” said Zulfikar Ali.He said that Mughal Road should be opened for the general public so that their suffering could be mitigated.
