UDHAMPUR: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Udhampur, Col Sukhbir Singh Assla,(Retd) alongwith his team of officials under the aegis of Brig Gurmeet Singh Shan (Retd) Director Sainik Welfare Department organized an Ex-servicemen, widows and Veer Nari’s meeting and awareness programme at Zila Sainik Welfare Office Complex in which Ex-servicemen ,widows and veer Naris participated.ZSWO Udhampur, Col Sukhbir Singh Assla (Retd) interacted with Veer Naris and Ex-servicemen. He apprised them about the various welfare schemes and concessions for the welfare of Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris. He also apprised Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris about grant of dual (two) family pensions from military as well as civil employment, refund of outstanding Army Group Insurance, medical benefit scheme subscription, endorsement of family pension in respect of living pensioners, submission of non marriage certificate to the DPDO by family pensioners and financial assistance to non pensioner Ex-servicemen/Widows for treatment of serious disease. He also educated Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris about Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme membership, reservation for Ex-servicemen in Govt jobs, PM’s Scholarship scheme, financial assistance form RMDF, daughter marriage grant and grant of family pension for life to handicapped children of Armed Forces Personnel. While speaking on the occasion Zila Sainik Welfare Officer assured the ESM/Veer Naris to provide every possible help to them.
