YPS Foundation distributes food kits among COVID-19 patients

Poonch: In keeping with its social service commitment, the volunteers of YPS Foundation on Wednesday distributed food kits and sanitisers/masks to the affected families at District Hospital, Poonch. By the end of 2020, 270 million people were facing crisis levels of hunger due to COVID-19. As we continue our focussed work for COVID-19 vulnerable families, we are working to ensure food and health as the first priorities and create an interim safety net for the most vulnerable informed Dr. Udeshpaul Sharma, Chairman, YPS Foundation.
He further highlighted that our campaign to mitigate crisis related to access of nutritious food and health awareness during this pandemic calls for active collaboration from civil society and administration. It is heartening to inform you that our work has been supported by prominent civil society members and district administration.
About one hundred twenty affected individuals were targeted during the aforesaid drive. Those who volunteered in this drive include Prashant Sharma, Nirjyote Singh, Abhay Sudan, Choudhary Mohd. Zaffar, Manpreet Singh Ghai, Goldy Sharma, Joginder Singh and Deepak Sharma.
