YCET faculty delivers guest lecture on ‘Save Energy for Future Generation’

JAMMU: Further strengthening their motto ‘Where excellence is just the beginning’, the faculty member of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Er. Loveneesh Talwar HoD Electrical Engineering Department has been invited by Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering and Technology by Department of Electrical Engineering as a Guest Speaker which was held on Wednesday on the “Save Energy for Future Generation”.
“Energy conservation is the effort made to reduce the consumption of energy by using less of an energy service. This can be achieved either by using energy more efficiently or by reducing the amount of service used,” Talwar said. he added that energy conservation is a part of the concept of Eco-sufficiency. “Energy is of two types Conventional and Non-conventional but as the time passes by, the generation rate of electricity is very low compared to our consumption rate,” he said and added, “Due to which we are focusing on non conventional resources. We can conserve energy by using two methods one is by reducing the use of energy efficient devices and secondly we can use energy optimum techniques to conserve energy.”
He also show one of his case studies in which he represents how to conserve energy in domestic sector by using 4 Energy Conservation Methods and what is its payback period.
In the end, Loveneesh Talwar thanked P. Gowtham (AP, EEE) for inviting him for giving him opportunity to deliver guest lecture.
He also mentions the gratitude for the management of YCET and for Prof. A.K. Srivatsva (Director YCET).
