Workshop on ‘Smart Teaching’ begins at BGSBU



RAJOURI: One week Workshop on ‘ Towards Smart Teaching’ started today at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri. The workshop is being organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell in collaboration with Centre for Hospitality and Tourism, BGSBU.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University lauded the efforts of the organising committee for hosting the event.
Prof. Akbar mentioned that such a workshop enables the teachers to stay updated on new methods of teaching, skill development, techniques to map students learning and academic progress, and so on. Prof. Akbar said that the pivot towards ed-tech has opened multiple opportunities for teachers to upscale the academic standards.
Prof. Akbar urged the participants to explore new ways and means of making efficient use of IT tools towards smart teaching and learning.
Dean Academic Affairs,Prof. Iqbal Parwez congratulated IQAC and Centre for Hospitality and Tourism for organising the workshop. He said that the in-depth understanding of the technology that determines the future of education is critical to empower the teachers for creating an effective online teaching and learning environment.
Dean , School of Engineering and Technology,Prof. Asif Hussain also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of organisers for conducting the workshop. Dr. Javid Iqbal, Member IQAC presented the welcome address. Dr. Danish Iqbal, Deputy Director Centre for Hospitality and Tourism proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Vinay Kumar, Coordinator IQAC introduced the speaker and conducted the proceedings of the inaugural session.
M.K Naseer Ali, a well known author and trainer will be the resource person for the workshop.
More the 100 faculty members from different institutions across the country have registered for the workshop.
