KATHUA: Department of Agriculture Production in collaboration with Revenue Department, Kathua organised awareness cum interaction programme with Farmers of Kathua District about benefit of Digital India Land Record Modern-ization Programme as ongoing celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Rahul Yadav, District Development Commissioner Kathua presided over the function held in conference Hall of Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Kathua.
Briefing the farmers and media, Rahul Yadav, DDC Kathua said that the Programme is a nationwide 75 weeks celebration of landmark achievements during 75 years of Indian Independence. The programme is scheduled from 12thMarch, 2021 to 15 August, 2023 with the objective to instil sense of pride in the achievement of people after 1947 and vision for 2047.
The programme is being implemented by J&K Land Record Management Agency (JaKLaRMA), a Nodal Agency of Revenue Deptt. In the UT of J&K, The digitalization work is being done in two phases, in phase-1 scanning of Revenue Documents, Establishment of Ground Control Points of all districts, Development of Web based Enterprise, Geo information System will be done. In 2nd phase the digitalization of updated Jamabandis, Vectorization of serving cadastral maps form scanned data, installation of Sehada Stones / Tertiary points in remaining 18 districts, establishment of continuously operating reference stations using GNSS technology with DGP equipments. The worthy Deputy Commissioner also inaugurated the conference hall of Chief Agriculture Office Kathua.
Atul Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua said that digitalization of Land Record will be started in the District Kathua soon and this will help to make the revenue record more transparent and will avoid litigation.
Dr. Rana Singh, Senior Project Manager, Resource Person RAMTECH on the occasion gave the detailed presentation of the “Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme (DILRMP)”.
