Woman among six narco smugglers arrested with heroin, Charas



Jammu: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Police achieved major success by recovering 250 gm Charas and 80 gm heroin from 5 narco smugglers during late night raids at suspected locations in R S Pura while another peddler was arrested in Kishtwar.
As per details, team of Police Station R S Pura constituted under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura Shabir Khan led by SHO R S Pura Inspr Jai Pal Sharma raided at different locations during late night and rounded up five suspects namely Kuldeep Raj, son of Baldev Raj; Vijay Kumar, son of Nagar Mal; Narinder Kumar, son of Sat Paul, all residents of Ward No 7 R S Pura; Tara Devi, wife of Narinder Pal, resident of Puro Bhana and Janak Raj, son of Nand Lal, resident of Rangpur Sidher. On search, 250 gm Charas and 80 gm heroin was recovered from their possession.
All accused were arrested and FIR Nos. 235 & 236/21 under sections 8/20/21/22/29 of NDPS Act were registered against them at Police Station R S Pura. The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta. Further investigation of the case is going on. Meanwhile, Kishtwar Police also arrested a drug peddler from Bus Stand area and recovered 70 gm Charas and intoxicating capsules from his possession.
