JAMMU: Vridhi Royal on Wednesday defeated Elite Club by seven wickets in the ninth match of the ongoing KCSC Under-19 Tournament played here.Earlier batting first after winning the toss, Elite club was bundled at 100 runs in 19.2 overs. Samar Singh was the top scorer with 38 runs while Ashutosh and Avinash added 17 and 16 runs respectively to the total.For bowling side, Sanat grabbed four important wickets while Parth and Gourav took two wickets each.In reply, Vridhi Royal chased the target in 17.1 overs for the loss of three wickets. Arya Thakur played a fine inning of 45 runs while Samarpit and Sumit contributed 24 and 19 runs respectively.For bowing side, Laith took two wickets and Shavac claimed one. Sanat was declared as a Man of the Match.in another match, Vridhi Royals beat Game Changers by 74 runs.Batting first, with the help of Arya Thakur’s brilliant knock of 122 runs Vridhi Royals set a big total of 231 runs. Besides Arya, Dikshant Kundal also played well and scored 55 runs while Archit made 17. For bowling side, Sampark scalped two wickets whereas Ansh took one.While chasing, Game Changer was bundled at 157 runs. Anuj made 43 runs whereas Ansh and Arsh scored 27 and 18 runs respectively. For bowling side, Sanat, Parth and Jasveer took two wickets each.Arya Thakur of Vridhi Royals was declared as Man of the match for his brilliant inning.Today’s matches were officiated by Ashok Singh, Dinesh Kumar and Jarnail Singh.
