Volleyball Championship concludes at GMHSS Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Volleyball Championship being organized by Government Model Higher Secondary School (GMHSS) Udhampur concluded here on Saturday with a valedictory-cum-prize distribution function.
In the valedictory ceremony, Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta was the Chief Guest while Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur presided over the function. Ex-MLA Pawan Gupta was the Special Guest on the occasion.
Function started with colourful cultural progamme presented by the students of school which was witnessed by sports persons, citizens , government officials and head of the institutions.
Prominent among those present were Shyam Lal Kalsotra President Chamber of Commerce, Rajiv Dogra Volleyball Coach Sports Authority of India, M.P Gupta (Retd) Joint Secretary JKBOSE, veteran volleyball player Roshan Lal, Pawan Kumar, Ashok Padha and Anil Paba. All were honoured and presented with awards.
District Youth Sports and Services Officer Swaran Singh distributed sports kit to various institutions.
Director school Education Jammu appreciated the efforts of school to organise such an endeavour to encourage the students.
Earlier, Sunil Sharma Principal of the Institution, welcomed all the guests while Sonia Choudhary Lecturer and Amit Sharma PET conducted the proceedings of the stage and conveyed vote of thanks to all.
