HSS comes out in support of striking Dharmarth Trust employees
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Extending support to protest of Dharmarth Trust employees, leaders of Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS), led by State President Vikrant Kapoor visited the Dharna site and participated in the Rudra Abhishek carried out by agitating employees. The HSS leaders also demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter of selling temples’ lands to non-Hindus in valley.Speaking on the occasion, Vikrant Kapoor said that the ongoing agitation of the employees has not caused any effect on Dharmarth Trust management, which is really condemnable. “Many political and social organisations have supported the striking employees. All organizations including Hindustan Shiv Sena demand in one voice that all the temples under the Dharmarth Trust be bring under a board on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board or the Dharmarth Trust be merged into Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board,” he added.Kapoor alleged that the lands of the temples which came under the Dharmarth Trust have also been sold to non-Hindus, which should be investigated at a high level. “Since the formation of Dharmarth Trust, no rule of law has been enacted to protect interests of its employees. Till date, even labour laws have not been implemented. Employees, with service record of 20 to 30 years in Dharmarth Trust, are getting salary below Rs 10,000. The priests of temples are living in a pathetic condition. Till date, anyone who has voiced for his rights has been either suspended or terminated from his job,” said Kapoor, demanding a while paper on all properties of Dharmarth Trust which were sold or leased out.He urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter and fulfill demands of striking employees besides bring all temples controlled by Dharmarth Trust under Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board at the earliest, failing which Hindustan Shiv Sena will be forced to come on roads.Senior HSS leaders present on the occasion included Amit Poudwal, Hari Om Bhagat, Sunny Singh, Ritik Kumar, Shubam Kumar, Aakash Sagotra, Bantu Dalotra, Rajeev verma, Baba Ram Kaith, Abhishek, Sapna Kohli and Neelam Raina.
