JAMMU: Former National player and vice president of the Judo Federation of India, Vikas Gupta has been nominated member of the Talent identification committee for North Zone (Judo) of Khelo India identification program.An order in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The order reads that the team shall identify grass-root talent and rankings of the athletes.Joint secretary of the J&K Olympic Association (JKOA), Vikas shall be part of the team which looks into the talented stuff in J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.Vikas has the distinction of being part of Indian teams as an official for international events.
