JAMMU: General Secretary of Apni Party, Vijay Bakaya inaugurated a cricket tournament being organised by Whites Cricket Club at Amb Gharota, here.The tournament is being organized by Deepak Fotedar, an active sports enthusiast and leader of the Apni Party. The tournament is being held in memory of C L Chrangoo, renowned cricketer and sports promoter..While interacting with the players who had come from Kashmir and Jammu, Bakaya stressed on the need for the youth to engage in team sports as they developed team spirit, determination to achieve a goal and discipline.He stated that that the time had come for the youth to give a positive direction to their lives with a futuristic ,pragmatic and progressive outlook and contribute to the development of the State.Bakaya noted that there was limited infrastructure for sports and commended the efforts of Vikrant Sharma who had developed the cricket playfield at Ambarota which was larger than any in Jammu and stated that it needed to be further developed and publicised so that more and more youth could utilize it.Sanjay Dhar senior leader Apni Party, Vikas Raina Corporator Shopian Municipal Committee, Abhay Balaya youth leader Apni Party, Rajiv Pandita, Deepak Fotedar and Vikrant Sharma were also present.
