KATHUA: Police on Thursday busted a vehicle lifter gang with arrest of four thieves and recovered 24 vehicles on their disclosure.
As per details, acting on several complaints regarding theft of vehicles in the district, police launched an operation and nabbed a person who while questioning disclosed his involvement in the crime. On his disclosure, police further nabbed three more members of the gang and recovered 24 stolen vehicles from their possession. The accused have been identified as Mitu, resident of Jallandar; Rashid Ahmed, resident of Nagri; Darshan Singh, resident of Udhampur and Saleem Ahmed, resident of Kathua. Further investigation is going on in the matter.
