JAMMU: Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Bechan Lal on Monday visited GGM Science College Jammu. He was accompanied by Dr Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar Cluster University of Jammu and Dr. Sanjay Verma, Dean Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu.Dr Ravender Kumar Tickoo, Principal GGM Science College welcomed and apprised the Vice Chancellor about the functioning of the college.The Principal gave a comprehensive presentation of various Academic programmes (UG/PG) offered by the College, details of Teaching and Non-teaching employees, Infrastructure available, research and digital initiative taken, allocation of funds as well as individual achievements of students in academic, co-curricular, NCC/NSS and literary events.Dr. Sanjay Verma, Dean Sciences also gave a brief account of various Academic and co-curricular activities of the school of sciences.The Vice-Chancellor impressed the august gathering with his innovative ideas and enlightened vision.He appreciated the efforts of the college faculty for overall development of the college and the initiates taken up regarding Research and Innovation ecosystem in the college.He emphasized on inculcating scientific outlook and creating conducive environment for research in the colleges. Whilst encouraging the college faculty for taking up the research projects and grants from funding agencies in UT and center, he also assured the full support from the university.Later, he took a round of the various departments of the college. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
