RAJOURI: On the initiative of the new Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Prof Akbar Masood, students have started arriving at the Campus with zeal and enthusiasm where arrangements for their stay and conduct of classes have been made. The Hostel as well as Dining facility has been made available following all norms as per UGC guidelines. The University has made elaborate arrangements for COVID testing at the Health Centre for the benefit of students. Banners have been installed at all prominent places in the Campus to ensure awareness and implementation of COVID protocols.The Vice Chancellor along with senior functionaries of the University took round of all Departments, Hostels, Canteens and other facilities in the Campus to personally monitor the progress of arrangements. The students in the hostels welcomed the action of the University in having started offline classes. “I was missing the ambience of the Campus and am glad to be back to attend the offline classes”, said one student.In order to check the quality of food, Vice Chancellor personally visited Canteens and shared table with students so that to check the quality of food served to them. “I am concerned about health of my students who are important stakeholders among the BGSBU fraternity. “, Prof Akbar Masood said instructing all Wardens to check quality of food on daily basis in Hostels and Canteens while having food with the boarders.Prof Akbar Masood said that safety, security and health of students and staff is the priority of the University. “We are here to care for you. We are one family and we want to create homely atmosphere in the Campus”, Vice Chancellor urged the students to regularly attend the offline classes.
