Various delegations call on LG Mathur

LEH: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R K Mathur was called on by President, Block Congress Committee, Lalok Durbuk Sonam Tsering accompanied by Tundup Namgail, President Tangtse Constituency at Raj Niwas today.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Lt. Governor on behalf of the people of Durbuk Sub Division of Changthang region. Apprising him of the issues of their region, the delegation put forth the request to upgrade telecommunication facility and installation of 4G mobile towers, to include Durbuk sub-division in Northern grid, up-gradation of Primary Health Centre Tangtse to sub-division hospital, issuance of ALC certificate to the border residents of Durbuk, resettlement of camps at Pangong, payment of wages to the army porters and setting up of a war museum at Chushul to mention some.
A delegation of Coordination Committee Sham, Khaltsi Block led by Councilor Temisgam, Sonam Dorjay also called upon the Lt. Governor and submitted a representation of their demands including the creation of a new district and Tourism Development Authority for Sham region and promotion of agriculture and horticulture with facilities of marketing, packaging, cold storage considering the region’s huge potential in these sectors.
Having heard the issues and demands, the Lt. Governor gave assurance to take up the matters with concerned government authorities.
