SRINAGAR: The winds of changes have started blowing in Kashmir as people want to become a part of all Govt policies and contribute towards Atamanirbhar Bharat. It was stated by Abhijeet Jasrotia Spokesperson BJP, while addressing a meeting of apple growers in Kashmir.Jasrotia further said that it is unfortunate that still India has to import apples from outside, despite fact that Kashmir has the potential to become torch-bearer in the field. “Kashmir apple growers have potential to meet demand of entire country and can even export product to other countries. Not only this, the latest 1 lakh crore, which centre is going to invest in cold storage chain will provide give direct benefits to Kashmir apple growers. Train track, which very soon connect valley with entire country, will give major boost to apple industry as new policy of adding cold storage bogies to every train will felicitate transportation of apples to every part of India and sea-ports too from where it can easily be exported,” he added.Jasrotia further called for coming up with pesticides & insecticide industries in Kashmir, as new industrial policy is very friendly and can give employment to youth of Kashmir. He further thanked organisers and apple-growers of Kashmir for showing such an enthusiasm to become a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat.Others present on the occasion included Tahir Maqsood Wani, Chief Executive Officer, Kashmir Apex Agriculture Cooperative Society; Aijaz Ahmed Bhat, Director Horticulture Kashmir; Joint Director Agriculture Kashmir and Jatinder Singh Mohan CEO Willowood India.
