SAMBA: District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria on Friday chaired the valedictory function of 32nd Road Safety Month-(Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha) campaign here at District Administrative park, Nandini Hills.The students were carrying placards with slogans and presented a nukkad Natak, appealing people to follow road safety measures to avoid accidents participated in the programme to create awareness about road safety rules. Senior Superintendent of Police, Rakesh Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jitender Mishra; Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour; Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal; District Informatic Officer, Sanjeev Kapoor; Assistant Road Transport Officer, Rehana Tabassum besides District Information Officer Ajay Sharma, other district officers, the principal and staff of GDC and general public in large numbers were present. Later, in the programme DDC Samba and other special invites distributed prizes among the participants, students, officers and sponsorsUDHAMPUR: 32nd Road Safety month organised under the overall supervision of ARTO Jugal Sharma concluded with prize distribution function here in Udhampur. ADDC Ashok Kumar was the Chief Guest on the ocassion while Addl.SP RS Katoch was the Guest of Honor. An exhibition was setup besides three medical camps were also setup by Rotary club, health department and CRPF to provide medical checkup facilities to operators. In order to create road safety sense and number of mascots were exhibited at function site. Briefing about the month long road safety celebration activities ARTO Jugal Sharma said that main motive to organized road safety month was to make people about MVD rules and how they can save the precious lives of the others while drive on the road. Sharma also congratulate the participants to exhibit their tireless efforts participate in awareness programme. Later chief guest and ARTO distributed the prizes and trophies among the guests and best performers and those who have cooperated in month long celebrations.KATHUA: On the culmination day of National Road Safety Month 2021, Regional Transport Office Kathua organized UT Level Vehicle Fitness Mela in the premises of RTO Office. The valedictory function was attended by Deputy Commissioner Om Prakash, SSP Kathua Shailendra Mishra, ARTO Kathua besides a large number of vehicle owners. The live streaming of the culmination ceremony along with e-launching of additional online services by the Transport Department by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was also organised. The Deputy Commissioner said the initiative of Transport Department to provide wide range of services through online mode will benefit the people. Regional Transport Officer, Raj Kumar Thapa informed that with the e-inauguration of Learner License Test Facilities by Lieutenant Governor JKUT Manoj Sinha, ITI Kathua will now provide technical support in organizing learner license test facility. Later, the Chief Guest distributed the vehicle fitness certificates to the vehicle owners.RAMBAN: Marking the end of the month-long road safety drive, the five-day Vehicle Fitness Mela, culminated in this district. At the closing ceremony, a grand fitness Mela was organised in the premises of District Administrative Complex by the Motor Vehicles Department, where about 100 vehicles were examined by the technical staff of the department.On the final day the Mela was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Additional Superintendent Police, Rajni Sharma and other senior officers from various departments and transporters attended the function. Meanwhile, ARTO, Shafqat Majeed informed that during the month long awareness drive department organized various programmes.DODA: District Administration Doda, under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode hosted the live streaming of closing ceremony of the 32nd “Road Safety Month” here at Sports Stadium Doda. The participants witnessed the address of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and launching various e-services by him.Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, SP operations, Raj Kumar, Chief Education Officer BDA, Dr Rajinder Singh Khajuria, District Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Doda Touseef Magray, ARTO Doda Er Kuldeep Singh, Dy SP Traffic Pankaj Soodan remained present in the programme. Later, the DDC Doda handed over the fitness certificates of the vehicles to the transporters.KISHTWAR: The five days fitness mela organised as part of the month long road safety campaign concluded. Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function. Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain; Accounts Officer, Pardeep Sen; Inspector MVD, Sanjeev Sen, Drivers and other officials were also present on the occasion. The experts from MVD and other concerned imparted awareness regarding the road safety measures among the participants. Online telecast of the address of the LG, Manoj Sinha was also hosted on the occasion.Later, the Deputy Commissioner gave away 17 fitness certificates to the transporters. Free medical checkup camp was also conducted for drivers and cleaners on the spot.POONCH: The fitness Mela organised here as a part of the road safety month 2021 concluded here.Deputy Commissioner Poonch Rahul Yadav, who was the chief guest at the valedictory function, said Road safety Month is organized to spread awareness about the prevention of accidents and make aware the road users about the importance of the safety rules. Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Basharat Hussain, Assistant Regional Transport Officer Poonch, Inzar Ahmed Rana, ACR, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, MVD Inspector Poonch were also present.REASI: Closing ceremony of Road safety Month and Vehicle Fitness Mela was organised here by the Motor Vehicle Department. Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib was the Chief Guest and SSP, Rashmi Wazir presided over the event. A painting competition on the theme ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’ was also organised as part of the closing ceremony of the month-long promotional road safety campaign.Aagya Bhagat of Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School bagged the first position in the competition, while Vivek Chadha of Presentation Convent School and Khushi Sharma of Gurukul Public Higher Secondary School were first and second runner up.
