JAMMU/SRINAGAR: With public outreach programme of the Central Ministers gaining momentum across the Union Territory, as part of the Prime Minister’s mega push to development in Jammu and Kashmir, multiple events relating to laying of foundation stones, inaugurations and reviews gained momentum on Thursday, However, public interactions remained the focus of ministerial activities at the district headquarters.The ministerial visits, planned for over nine weeks, is second in the series after first such initiative taken last year in January after revocation of the provisos of Article 370 and 35A besides bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories.The ministers, according to sources, are likely to submit their assessment of the ground situation to Ministry of Home Affairs for working out a strategy to strategies development and other welfare schemes.While Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Tatu Rane laid foundation stone for development park besides interacting with delegations of entrepreneurs and PRIs at Bari Brahmana, Samba, Union Minister of State for Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal visited Government Model Higher Secondary School Udhampur; inaugurated Amar Santosh Art Gallery and released a documentary Movie on culture and historical monuments of District Udhampur.Union Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan had a detailed visit to Indian International Trade Saffron Spice Park, Pampore while Union Minister of State for Industries and Commerce (I&C), Som Parkash reviewed the performance of I&C Department at SKICC, Srinagar. He also interacted with the representatives of various trade bodies of Kashmir.Union Minister of AYUSH and Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated a Yoga Demonstration cum AYUSH Exhibition in Baramulla wherein young athletes showcased their yoga skills while Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda inaugurated several developmental projects and interacted with multiple public delegations, members of Panchayat Raj Institutions and political parties besides interacting with youth especially sports persons in Bandipora.As part of Union Government’s public outreach programme, Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Labour & Employment, Rameswar Teli visited Doda and distributed sanction letters of LPG connections under Ujjwala-2.O, e-Shram cards among scores of beneficiaries and Covid Care relief cheques identified under Atal Bhimit Yojana.
