JAMMU: The six day “Udyam Mela” for the registration of Industrial and Service sector Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises [MSME] under Udyam concluded on Wednesday at SICOP Industrial Estate, Gangyal, Jammu. The event was organized on the directions of Manoj Kumar Dwivedi (IAS), Commissioner/Secretary Industries & Commerce and under the guidance of Anoo Malhotra, Director Industries and Commerce, Jammu by Subah Mehta , General Manager DIC Jammu.General Manager, District Industries Centre, Jammu highlighted the benefits of the “Udyam” Registration and said that various benefits can be derived from such registration under Direct Benefit Transfer [DBT] policy of the State as well Central Government incentives. The benefits derived from Udyam Registration are Collateral free loans from Banks; Protection against delayed payments, against material / services rendered; Ease of obtaining registrations, licenses and approvals; MSME Registered entity gets eligible for Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme [CLCSS];Proposed 30%-50% CIS as per New Industrial Policy; International Trade Fair Special consideration; Government Security Deposit [EMD] waiver [useful while participating Tenders]; Stamp Duty & Registration fee waiver; ISO Certification fees reimbursement; Direct Tax Laws Rules exemption; NSIC performance and Credit rating fees subsidy; Patent Registration subsidy; Barcode registration subsidy; Industrial Promotion Subsidy [IPS] eligibility.She informed that during Udyam Melas, about 300 units were registered under Udyam and over 100 are in pipeline.The Melas were organized by DIC Jammu at Digiana, Jammu on 12-02-2021 comprising of Prateek Panjatha- FM; Param Chadgal-IPO; Nikhil Abrol-BI; & Poonam Rani- AEO, at RS Pura on 18-02-2021 comprising of Naresh Vohra-FM; Tarun Gupta-IPO; Goutam Gupta-IPO; Akshay Sharma-AEO & Shivali Khajuria SA, at Birpur, Bari Brahmana, Jammu on 19-02-2021 comprising of Nazia Chowdhary-PM; Amit Kumar-IPO; Sachin Sharma-BI, Rakesh Mahajan-AEO, Rajeshwar Singh-M.CM, at Industrial Estate, Akhnoor Jammu on 20-02-2021 comprising of Mukesh Thapa-PM; Nikhil Abrol-BI, Param Chadgal-IPO, Rakesh Mahajan-AEO & Romesh Kumar JA, at SIDCO Complex, Bari Brahmana, Jammu on 22-02-2021 comprising of Pankaj Sasan-FM, Tarun Gupta-IPO, Goutam Gupta-IPO, Param Chadgal-IPO, Vivek Mangotra-BI, Rakesh Gupta SA and finally at Association Office, SICOP Complex, Gangyal, Jammu on 23-02-2021 comprising of Naresh Vohra-FM, Tarun Gupta-IPO, Rohit Sangral-IPO, Shorab Gupta-IPO & Nikhil Abrol-BI. She apprised that it is quite easy and requires minimum details for uploading the data on the Udyam portal. The process is completely online, paperless and is based on the self declarations. Only mobile linked Aadhaar No. will be enough for registration for manufacturing and service sector enterprises. Udyam is free of cost with no personal interface of the stake holders with the departments. Post 31st March 2021, Udyam registration will be mandatory for the MSME Sector.
