SAMBA: Police on Thursday arrested a bike-lifter and recovered stolen bike from his possession, in a theft case registered at Police Station Samba.As per details, on March 21, 2021, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Samba by Surinder Singh, son of Gandharb Singh, resident of W.No. 11 Samba, regarding theft of his motorcycle (Platina) bearing registration number JK02AM-5641 from W.No. 08, Adrash Colony, Samba. On this, a case vide FIR No. 91/2021 under Section 379 of IPC was registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. During course of investigation, a team of Police Station Samba headed by SHO Samba Inspector Sudhir Sadotra under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj rounded up several suspects for preliminary enquiry. During sustained interrogation, one Vishal Choudhary alias Binney, son of Sham Lal, resident of Karalian, Ramgarh broke down and confessed his involvement in crime. On his disclosure the stolen bike was recovered.Meanwhile, on 18 March 2021, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Samba by complainant Jyoti Devi, wife of Sohan Lal, resident of W.No. 11, Samba stating therein that during intervening night of March 16-17, 2021, some unknown burglars struck her house and decamped with LED TV and some cash. Acting over the complaint, a case under vide FIR No. 86/2021 under Sections 457/380 of IPC was registered and investigation started. The accused person identified as Mukesh Kumar, son of Girdhari Lal, resident of W.No. 10, Arazi, Samba confessed his involvement in crime and stolen item (LED TV) was recovered from his possession. Further investigation of case is going on.
