Two lifters nabbed; 7 bikes, 15 iron-plates recovered


JAMMU: Police on Friday nabbed two notorious bike-lifters and recovered 7 bikes & 15 iron-plates from their possession. As per details, an complaint was lodged at Police Station Janipur by Bhawani Singh, son of Tilak Raj, resident of Chennai Rajouri, at present Durga Nagar Bantalab that his pulsor bike (JK11B-7239), parked outside medical shop near Aap Shambhu Morh, Janipur, has been was stolen. On this, a case vide FIR No. 51/2021 under Section 379 of IPC got registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
On this dedicated teams of Police Station Janipur under the supervision of SDPO City West Rahul Nagar were constituted. The team led by SHO Janipur Insp Nayat Ali assisted by PSI Anil Kumar after strenuous efforts and with the help of technical assistance, rounded-up suspects namely Umar Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan, resident of Pul-Doda, at present Old Masjid road Laxmi Puram Chinore and Ankush Harkar, son of Anil Harkar, resident of Durga Nagar, Bantalab. During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in aforesaid case and on their disclosure 15 iron plates and stolen bikes were recovered by Police. The recovered bikes include JK12-7965 pulsar bike (black colour); JK11B 7239 Pulsar 150 bike (Colour Blue & Black) under case registered vide FIR No 51/2021; JK02AC 5607 Pulsar 150 bike (Colour red); JK02BA 3237 Honda bike (Colour black); JK02AT 5092 Activa Scooty (colour white); JK02 W 3079 Pulsar 150 (Colour red) and Splendor bike Engine no. MAJ0ERGHEA7894 Chasis No. MB2HA10CGGHF05253 (Colour black). Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other crime.
