JAMMU/AKHNOOR: Police on Tuesday arrested two vehicle lifters from Akhnoor & Kanachak respectively.As per details, on June 7, 2021, a complaint was lodged by one Goverdhan Lal, son of Gulshan Ram at Police Station Akhnoor stating therein that his motorcycle (JK02BC/0259) was parked outside Sohal hospital but when he came out from hospital, he found his bike missing. He enquired about bike from nearby persons but none has any clue. On this, FIR No.117/2021 under section 379 of IPC was registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.On this special police teams of Police Station Akhnoor under supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial were constituted. A team led by SHO Akhnoor Insp Hilal Azhar assisted by PSI Zulfiqar Ahmed checked CCTV footages of the area and acting on various leads, rounded up few suspects. During sustained questioning, a suspect namely Neeraj Sharma, son of Omparkash Sharma, resident of Badgal Kalan, Tehsil Akhnoor confessed the crime and on his disclosure stolen bike was recovered.Meanwhile, in June 17, 2021 a person Manohar Lal Sharma, son of Om Parkash Sharma, resident of Jandiyal Thati reported at Police Station Kanachak and lodged a complaint regarding theft of Motorcycle (JK02BJ-8169) from Gurha Pattan. On this, FIR No.90/2021 under section 379 of IPC was registered and investigation was entrusted to ASI Mohan Singh. During investigation, many suspects were rounded up, out of which one suspect namely Manmohit, son of Subash Chander, resident of Jandyal Thati, Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu confessed the crime. On his disclosure, stolen motorcycle was also recovered. The arrest and recovery was made under guidance of SHO Kanachak Vishav Partap Singh and under supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
