There is tussle and trouble in Punjab wing of Congress which is very disturbing for entire congress party. There is internal tussle not only in Punjab congress but party activists are also leaving party in other parts of country but Rahul Gandhi is saying that those who are leaving Congress are people of Sangh and therefore there is no need of them in party. The trouble of Congress in Punjab is not subsiding even after intervention of the congress high command, which will affect the future prospects of the grand old party. There is a great tussle between the Chief Minister captain Amrinder Singh and the veteran congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu and there seems no end to it. Congress is facing the trouble in Punjab from some time which would impact health of Congress not only in the state of Punjab but it has got demonstrational effect on the congress party as a whole. It means that it will affect health of the congress party in other states, as such party leadership should take corrective steps to control the situation before it is too late. There is nothing good in the congress and organisation is facing worst time. The party needs to introspect on this otherwise it will completely lose its relevance in political scenario of country. In fact, tussle for power in Punjab does not subside as two leaders of the Congress party are face to face and there is much trouble between two stalwarts of the congress in the state of Punjab. There are speculations that Navjot Singh Sidhu is going to become Pradesh Congress Chief while Captain Amrinder Singh will continue as the Chief Minister of the State. It is a formula of veteran congress leader Kamal Nath and the Chief Minister is unhappy over the decision. The intensity of trouble is so high that it does not subside even after intervention of party high command. These days, Sidhu is camping in Delhi and meeting Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Captain Amrinder Singh has also been called to meet congress leadership in Delhi but inspite of best efforts of the congress leaders, trouble and tussle between the two warring veterans does not subside. Captain Amrinder Singh the Chief Minister of Punjab is unhappy with party high command and in this connection, has also written a letter to the Sonia Gandhi expressing his displeasure over handling of Punjab situation and rumours that Nanjot Singh Sidhu will be appointed as Pradesh Congress President. He wants that Congress high command should desist to intervene in the politics of Punjab as such handling of political situation will not be in the interest of Punjab congress and the party will have to pay for over indulgence of high command. The congress leadership has different perceptions over the Punjab situation while high command is not one over handling of political tussle between Captain Amrinder Singh and Sidhu. As such, Political stalemate continues unabated which is not in interests of Punjab congress. An effective formula should be worked out to end tussle between Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh and Congress leader Sidhu, which should be practical and workable and must be accepted by the two warring political leaders. Efforts should be made by Congress leadership to maintain cordial relations between two warring leaders. The trouble and tussle between two stalwarts of the state congress should be addressed by the centre leadership for the good of the congress party. Punjab state congress incharge has also a meeting with the party high command, especially Sonia Gandhi, to make the high command aware of stands of the two warring groups besides making a possible compromise between two congress leaders, who are in tussle over power sharing in state of Punjab. The war of egos is going on in the Punjab congress as the two rival leaders of the congress do not see eye to eye with each other and dead-lock between the talks continues with no sign of abatement. In such a murky situation, the central leadership Congress party should take the two warring leaders onboard and devise a formula to end feud between Captain Amarinder Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhum which should be acceptable to both the rival leaders. There seems no sign of end of Punjab crises as Congress leader and Punjab Chief Minister is having reservations over the elevation of Navjot Singh Sidhu to the post of Punjab Congress President. However, Captain Amarinder Singh has said that he will abide by Congress high command’s decision on Punjab political stalemate. This statement brought forth some hope for end of Punjab crisis. Since, hope sustains the life and so is the case with Punjab crises, that it will soon end with a positive intervention of Congress high command. A meeting was held between Capitan Amarinder Singh and Harish Rawat for two hours in farm house of the Chief Minister, after which Harish Rawat and Captain both said that everyone will abide by decision of the party high command and President Sonia Gandhi. This is surely a welcome development to end the trouble in Punjab unit of Congress.
