JAMMU: Keeping in mind the interest of both the Transporters as well as the People of J&K, issues of Transporters have been resolved amicably leading to call off their proposed indefinite strike.Official sources said that as per past practice, annual revision of giving 10 percent hike in the transport fare was pending for the last three years. Even with the 19 percent hike, transport fare in J&K still remains lesser than the neighbouring states.“Keeping in mind the interest of both the transporters as well as the people of Jammu and Kashmir, the issues of transporters have been resolved amicably leading to call off their proposed indefinite strike”, officials said.
