JAMMU: The trailer of Mudasir Zafar’s film ‘Nobel Peace’ was released on Digital platform with a good response from audience. He is sure about his craft as an actor. His performance was appreciated in his first film and now his second film Nobel Peace, directed by Astik Dalai and produced by Alok Rai under the banner of Kala Niketan Entertainment travelled to film festivals around the world. Recently, the film won the Best Film Jury at Dada Saheb Film Festival 2020 where films from 42 countries were competing. It also won Best Screenplay at Indian Cine Film Festival recently. ‘Nobel Peace’ is about journey of a young boy Hayan Mir, played by Mudasir Zafar under guidance of a college professor Shlok Manhas played by Hiten, who wants to eradicate hatred from hearts of religiously-biased individuals and bring peace in society.
Zafar said that he has immense confidence in his craft and he will keep on working till the time he reaches a larger audience. He feels that best thing that has happened is that the audience after getting exposed to OTT platforms have become mature and developed a taste for content driven film. They don’t care if it’s a star film or a new comer, if a film is good and if it’s in right hands, it will reach to a larger audience and when it happens, performers like Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Rajkumar Rao and a lot more are appreciated. “Irfan Khan was an inspiration but I have grown up watching Shahrukh Khan’s films in Jammu. I feel that films like Nobel Peace should reach a larger audience,” he added.
Film also features well known actors Hiten Tejwani, Mayur Mehta, Imtiaz Batt, Aarti Sharma, Sajad Forooqi and Rohit Raj. Zafar said that the Director also casted a lot of local non-actors in film namely Tahira, Aamir Rafiqi, Waseem, Yasir, Jaanu, Nasir Shah & all of them have done a brilliant job in the film.
Mudasir Zafar’s hometown is Bhadarwah and film was also shot in Bhadarwah’s various locations like Jai, Padri, Guldanda and in main town.
