Traffic Police launches drive against wrong parking



JAMMU: A special drive to free service lanes from wrongly parked vehicles between Greater Kailash and Kunjwani Chowk was carried out on Tuesday by Traffic City Jammu in South City under directions of ADGP Traffic J&K T Namgyal and SSP Traffic Shiv Kumar Sharma. A team comprised of DySP Traffic South Sunil Singh along with DTI Railway Atul Singh and other traffic personnel carried out the drive.
Challan stickers were pasted on wrongly parked vehicles causing obstruction to free flow of traffic. The owners of business establishments and people were requested to park their vehicles at specified parking slots, for ensuing free flow of traffic on National highway, as obstructions can result in fatal accidents besides causing inconvenience to people. Today along with Challaning, public were made aware about Traffic. Locals, especially shopkeepers, have lauded initiative of Traffic police for ensuing smooth movement of traffic in the area.
