TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
- From 23-01-2023, 1700 hrs. to 24-01-2023, 1700 hrs. Jammu Srinagar NHW remained block for 01 hour 05 mins due to shooting stones at Panthyal. There was slow movement on NH-44 due to breakdown of 07 HMVs between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel.
- MeT department has predicted heavy rainfall, snowfall for next few days, there are chances of blockade of NH-44. people are advised not to travel on Jammu Srinagar NHW without confirmation from TCUs
TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 25-01-2023:-
In view of Bharat Jodo yatra from Ramban towards Banihal, tomorrow No vehicular movement shall be allowed from Qazigund towards Banihal-Ramban and from Nashri towards Ramban-Banihal. Only after the culmination of Bharat Jodo yatra, subject to fair weather and good road conditions LMVs passenger/private cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.
HMVs/Load Carriers:-
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, HMVs shall be allowed from Jakhani (Udhampur) towards Srinagar after assessing the road and traffic situation on NH-44. TCU Udhampur shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVs.
SFs Convoy Movement:-
Security Forces are advised/requested to avoid vehicular movement from Nashri towards Ramban-Banihal and vice versa till the culmination of Bharat Jodo yatra.
SSG ROAD: –
SSG Road closed for vehicular movement vide Divisional Commissioner Ladakh UT’s order no. 75 dated 06-01-2023 in view of snow accumulation.
MUGHAL ROAD:-
Mughal Road closed for vehicular movement vide District Magistrate Shopian’s order endstt. no. DMS/PA/2023/1362-67 dated 05-01-2023 in view of snow accumulation.

People are advised to undertake journey on NHW-44 only after confirming status of the road from Traffic control units as under:-
