JAMMU: A meeting of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) was held on Sunday under the leadership of its President Rajinder Parshad, which was attended by a number of residents. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding poor progress of development works in the area. The participants expressed concern on miserable condition of lanes & bye-lanes, whose repairs are still pending. “The drains also need immediate repairs. Blacktopping of roads has not been done from last many years despite submitting numerous reminders to concerned authorities. No doubt, even Councilors have also put in their maximum efforts to initiate repairs works but still some areas are neglected,” members said, alleging that a pick and choose policy is being adopted in carrying out works. The team TNWS Jammu demanded that there should be a separate agency to check and review facts besides cross-check quality of jobs done. They further urged all concerned authorities to initiate development works at the earliest. The prominent members who attended the meeting included Ashok Kumar Arora, S N Kaul, Varinder Kumar Suri, Kewal Krishan Mahajan, Krishan Kumar Gupta, O P Sharma, Anil Sharma and Partap Singh Arora.
