Time for J&K to move from terrorism to tourism: Chugh

STATE TIMES NEWS

SRINAGAR: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh said on Sunday that J&K would soon move on from terrorism to tourism after all the discriminatory laws become ineffective.
Addressing a Shikara rally in the Dal Lake here, Chugh said the entire economy of J&K had been destroyed by the Abdullahs and Muftis to protect their petty political interests.
“When rest of India had been progressing with the development programmes and policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, J&K kept floundering at the backyard under the shadow of guns and bullets,” he said adding that constant violence in J&K had made the people of J&K laggard in the country.
“It is time that a new chapter is written for the people where their indigenous industry of tourism, woollens, dry fruits and horticulture flourished once again and people prospered in the region”, he said.
He regretted that all these years divisive and disruptive forces aided and abetted by the Pakistan ISI kept spelling doom for the people here.
“Their education, health, jobs went to dogs because the mafia of Abdullahs and Muftis deprived them of their welfare and did not allow them to prosper,” Chugh said adding that the people should vote for the BJP for a burst of new sunshine.
