Theft case solved; 4 held, stolen property recovered



JAMMU: Police on Wednesday solved a theft case by arresting four accused and recovered stolen items worth Rs. 50,000
As per details, on December 14, 2020 a complaint was lodged at Police Station Nowabad by Rajesh Negi Security Officer of S P SINGLA Construction company at Jammu-Akhnoor NH that some unknown thieves have stolen shuttering plates from construction site pillar no. 39. On this, a case vide FIR No. 153/2020 under section 379 of IPC was registered and investigation started.
Special police teams of Police Station Nowabad under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Swati Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO Nowabad Insp Deepak Jasrotia assisted by In-Charge Police Post Talab Tillo Insp Kali Charan after stern efforts and with help of technical assistance and CCTV footage of the area, rounded up a suspect namely Shah Mohd, son of Soni Mohd, resident of Parpad, presently staying at Beli Charana.
During sustained questioning, accused confessed his involvement in crime and on his disclosure three other accused namely Mohd, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of Ragoora at present Beli Charana; Mohd Rashid alias Mani, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Parpad Ragoora at present Beli Charana and Makan, son of Bishan, resident of Narwal were also arrested and stolen iron shuttering plates were recovered.
