BILLAWAR: Continuing its initiate “Har Ghar Congress”, a mass public outreach programme was held at Billawar on Saturday under the leadership of Former Minister and President DCC Kathua and was chaired and attended by galaxy of senior party leaders including Ex DyCM Tara Chand, Former Ministers, GM Sarori, Jugal Kishore, RS CHIB, Garu Ram Choudhary , CH Akram ( Ex MLA) Subash Gupta ( Ex MLC), Jahangir Mir ( ex MLC), Naresh Gupta ( EX MLC), Jahangir Mir, Salman NIzami, Varun Magotra , DS Bindu, Amolak Singh, Adv Ashok Sharma, Adv Maheshwar Singh, Rajinder Prasad, Sharma, Vinod Mishra, Ashwani Handa, Jagjyot Singh and Ankush Raina.
While speaking on the occasion Former DyCM Tara Chand said that today masses of the country and J&K are suffering due to anti people policies of Modi government. He said Congress while fight for the rights of people of J&K and this outreach programme of Har Ghar Congress has been launched for mass contact with people and make them aware of anti people policies of BJP government. He further said that Congress party is the oldest party of the country and again said congress was united, is united and will remain united. He also pitched for return of statehood to J&K.
While welcoming all the senior leaders Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that J&K especially Jammu witnessed lot of development when G N Azad was the Chief Minister of J&K. During Azad’s tenure lot of developmental projects were carried out for Jammu such as creation of new districts, Medical colleges, AIIMS, and much more but during BJP- PDP government state witnessed no development and was driven to backfoot i.e from a State to an UT. He further said that people are nw fed up with BJP and want to see the golden era of development under leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad again.
In last all the leaders said they Congress party will not sit quietly unless Statehhod is restored to J&K and other burning issues such as Unemployment, Price rise solved at the earliest and told people CONGRESS is the only solution for development of the J&K & the country. Scores of local leaders, party workers, youth congress leaders were present.
