JAMMU: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta in presence of Editor-in-Chief STATE TIMES, Raj Daluja released Sunil Sharma’s romantic song ‘Jaane Ja’, here on Thursday. Written, composed and sung by Sunil Sharma, popularly known as Kishore Kumar of J&K, the video of song ‘Jaane Ja’ has been made by Rahul Jamwal, a renowned Director from Jammu while audio was done by Rahul Bhardwaj.
Congratulating Sunil Sharma for his new song, Kavinder Gupta lauded his contributions towards the art and society. “Sunil is a well-known singer of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, as people of UT and even from outside like his melodious songs. Sunil has already written and sung many songs in Dogri and Hindi languages besides contributing towards society in numerous ways. Last year, when entire country was busy in combating outbreak of COVID-19, Sunil Sharma also donated Rs 2 lakh towards Prime Minister’s Relief Fund,” said Gupta, wishing Sunil all the best for future endeavours.
Applauding melodious voice and inspirational songs of Sunil Sharma, Raj Daluja said that he has been listening to Sunil’s songs for last 30 years. Popularly known as Kishore Kumar of Jammu & Kashmir, Raj Daluja said that Sunil is committed to promotion of music and present three to four programmes every year for entertainment of Jammuites. “I think Sunil Sharma is the only artist of Jammu who, with his untiring efforts, has been working hard to promote singing in UT for last 30 years,” said Raj Daluja, adding that most of Sunil’s songs infuse nationalism and patriotism among youth.
He further said that Sunil has written and sung numerous songs in memory of Pulwama martyrs and freedom fighters. He also wished good luck to Sunil for writing and singing more songs in future, for making J&K proud.
Expressing gratitude towards both the dignitaries and participants for releasing the song, Sunil Sharma said that he has been working on the song for last two years. He further told that video of song features Sachin, Diviansh Baba and Anjali.
During the programme special care of social distancing was taken.
