Dear Editor,As weather man has predicted an intense cold wave in Northern India during coming days, with mercury dipping to low levels, necessary precautions are required to be taken for remaining safe from cold, especially during the ongoing time of COVID-19. It’s that time of year, when one can get irritated by dry skin and frequent flu. It’s essential to safeguard yourself from cold weather and stay healthy throughout the season. Not just elderly and children need to take extra care of their health, but every person should try to keep himself away from cold waves, especially during night hours. We must wear extra layers of clothes, maintain hygiene, moisturise skin frequently and avoid consuming cold water besides eating a healthy diet to beat the chill.Pooja Dutta,Jullaka Mohalla, Jammu.
