JAMMU: The Second Integration Cup T-20 and one day series organised by the Game Changer Cricket Club concluded here at Gharota Stadium, here on Sunday. The series was organised in association with country cricket.
The last match of the series was played between Game Changer Cricket Club R S Pura and Kashmir Strikers Cricket Club Srinagar wherein Chairman Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, Tarun Uppal was the Chief Guest.
Earlier, Game Changer CC won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 144 for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Vansaj scored 29 runs while Mohit (25), Goldi (24), Ankush (18) and Janveer (17) runs were the other main scorers.
For Kashmir Strikers, Manzoor took two wickets and Mehraj, Tanveer, Jahangir, Adnan and Faheem claimed one each.
While chasing the target, Kashmir Strikers CC scored only 129 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 19.2 overs. Farhan made 27 runs while Jahangir and Gowhar scored 18 runs each.
For Game Changer, Ankush, Atish, Aryan and Ritansh grabbed two wickets each while Sachin and Raghav took one each. Game Changer Club won the match by 15 runs.
For all round performance, Ankush was declared as Man of the Match. Farhan was declared as Best batsman of the series and Sachin Sharma was declared as best bowler.
Tarun Uppal appreciated the cricket club for organizing the series which would nurture the youth’s talent and keep them away from the social evils and crime like drug abuse.
He said that the twin divisions of the UT have immense talent and again they have proved their mettle and made J&K proud.
“There is a dire need to further development of sports infra with which the sportspersons would be able to prove themselves besides providing them a suitable playing platform,” Uppal said.
Aryan Dassi and Tauhid Albi were declared as best wicket keepers.
Naveel Koul Sports Secretary NBF was the Guest of Honour. Amit Dassi, Mohd Iqbal, Vikrant Sharma , Amit Padha and Jasbir Singh were also present.
