Snatcher nabbed, 41 mobile phones recovered

JAMMU: Police on Sunday nabbed a snatcher and recovered 41 mobile phones from his possession.
Giving details, SDPO City North Satish Kumar said a complaint was lodged by a woman Zarina Begum, son of Liyaqat Ali, resident of Ladore Tehsil Marh District Jammu, that an unknown Scooty rider has snatched her mobile phone near District Jail Amphalla. On this, a case vide FIR No. 10/2021 under section 382 of IPC was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started. A team of Police Station Pacca Danga under supervision of SDPO City North Satish Kumar led by SHO Insp Ajit Singh, ln-charge Police Posts Parade and Rehari with help of technical assistance and CCTV footages of area, rounded up a suspect namely Aman Sharma, alias Musa, son of Joginder Sharma, resident of Rani Mandir, below Gummat, presently staying at Shiv Nagar, Jammu. During sustained questioning, the accused confessed his involved in the crime and further confessed he has snatched many more mobile phones from various other places as well. On his disclosure 41 mobiles phones were recovered by Police.
