STATE TIMES NEWS
RAMGARH: As a part of a 45-day programme chalked out by the Congress against the increased fuel prices, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla led Congress leaders on Sunday continued protest against hike in petroleum products at Ramgarh. The protest was organized by Babal Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma and Tirath Bhagat, Col Retd Swarn Singh.Prominent among those present on the occasion include Sarpanch Jagdish Raj, Latish Sharma, Dr Bishan Choudhary, Ganesh Kalla, Dhrampal, Dinesh Kalla, Raghubir Singh, Inderpal Singh, Dalip Singh, Sharu Ram, Gharu Ram, Capt. Gurdas Singh, Ch. Jeet Raj, Ch. Rashpal beside others.A large number of Congress workers holding play cards in their hands amidst raising slogans against BJP Govt demanded immediate rollback of hike in price of petrol, diesel and LPG.The protesters beating utensils expressed resentment against BJP Govt for doing nothing to provide any relief to aggrieved people.Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that cost of essential commodities, cost of construction, the cost of education, house rent, transportation expenses to commute to school, work and social outings, the cost of essential commodities have gone up during the past one year so much that people are at the wits end how to manage family affairs as BJP Govt has left them with their problems on the mercy of God.If the trend continues for a long time, I think people have to take loans to run their families. The BJP Govt fails to understand that for the common man, a hike in prices is always a matter of some concern.Former Minister claimed that Skyrocketing prices of essential commodities hit the common man hard. Middle classes and the poor families have been badly affected by the spiraling prices of essential commodities, which refuse to stabilize as no concern has been shown by BJP Govt.
