JAMMU: Another alumnus of the School for Speech and Hearing Handicapped, Jammu run by a noted NGO, J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK), Sunil Kumar has brought laurels to the institution by graduating in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) this year.Like Vishali Raina, Sunil too has passed BCA from Lovely Professional University, (JPU) Phagwara, Punjab with 57.33% marks. Son of Raj Kumar, a farmer of Samba, now residing in Bari Brahmana, Sunil passed Higher Secondary form SKK run School in 2016. Sunil has also passed six months Computer Course from NIIT Foundation and National Skill Qualifications Framework Level-4 (Qualified Retails Associate) from National Skill Development Corporation, Govt of India besides three months Indian Sign Language Course from Noida Deaf Society. While he is looking for appropriate placement, Sunil is keen to do MCA to improve his professional qualification.The President of the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, K B Jandial and the members of its Governing Body have lauded Sunil’s grand achievement despite serious disabilities and he and Vishali have become torch bearers for other Divyang to overcome challenges and become real professionals to serve the society.The SKK has offered all help to its alumni in undergoing higher education and suitable placement. Jandial hoped that private sector of Jammu would encourage such bright youth by offering jobs to them compatible to their professional qualifications.
