Singh Lions wins in Akhnoor Premier League U-17 Cricket Tournament

AKHNOOR: Singh Lions Akhnoor beat Akhnoor Avengers by nine wickets in the Akhnoor Premier League Under-17 Cricket Tournament 2021-22 being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh at Government High Secondary School Akhnoor Ground, here on sunday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Akhnoor Avengers was bowled out for 99 in 20 overs. Paras was top scorer with 26 runs while Ujwal and and Taruwar contributed 16 and 13 runs respectively.
For Singh Lions Akhnoor, Dhoni grabbed three wickets while Arun, Neeraj and Sachin took two wickets each and Nanit got one.
In reply, Singh Lions Akhnoor chased the target comfortably making 101 runs for the loss of one wickets in 10.1 overs. Binay Singh played a match winning inning of 51 runs off 29 balls while Nanit Radhay and Sachin added 17 and 16 runs to the total.
For Akhnoor Avengers, Mohit took a lone wicket.
For his best batting performance, Binay Singh was declared as Man of the Match.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Rakesh Malhotra (Councillor Ward No 6) in presence of Deepak Manni (Concillor Ward No 10) and D.N Abrol (Ex President MC Akhnoor).
Others present were Sham Singh Langeh (General Secretary JKCA Jammu), Davinder Chanan, Dr. Romesh Kashyap, Sushil Sharma, Sunita Devi, Rajinder Sharma, Raman Gupta, Raman Sharma, Parveen Kumar, Sunil Kumar (Bendy), Deepak Mangotra and Rajesh Sharma.
