UDHAMPUR: Sikh community of Udhampur has expressed their great concern towards Municipality Udhampur for deleting the name of Sikh from the receipt meant to collect revenue from local household in pretext of Jio tagging plate in Udhampur. The objection was raised by Sikh community leader and a group of social workers led by S. Mohinder Singh (Gugu) during press conference at Udhampur.Addressing media persons Mohinder Singh expressed extreme concern towards Municipality Udhampur for not mentioning Sikh community like Hindu, Muslim and Christian on the Jio tagging collection receipt. Singh said Municipality Udhampur has send collection boys to collect rupees 60 from each household in every ward of Municipality in pretext of fixing new Jio tagging plate outside every house in Udhampur. He said Sikh community of Udhampur was hurt when they found name of Sikh community missing on the receipt slip being distributed by municipality. He appealed to the head of district administration to took serious cognizance of the issue and rectify the mistake.
