JAMMU: The leaders of Shiv Sena J&K unit have criticised Central Government for repealing old laws and introducing new laws regarding purchase of land in erstwhile J&K state.While addressing media, Shiv Sena J&K President, Manish Sahni said that BJP Government has failed to safeguard rights of people in J&K. He said that Centre government has notified new land laws, paving way for any citizen of India to buy land in J&K.“The order of Government comes into force with immediate effect which is totally against residents of J&K. These laws are unacceptable and must be wiped out at the earliest,” Sahni demanded.The amendments to land ownership laws of J&K, even the tokenism of domicile has been done away with when purchasing non-agricultural land while transfer of agricultural land has also been made easier, he added. “Central Govt is misleading people of J&K and has now passed land laws without taking people, political parties and stakeholders into confidence, which is really a unacceptable,” he added, demanding that Central government must come up with a concrete laws and regulations to safeguard lands and jobs of J&K resident for saving demographic structure of J&K.Others present on the occasion included Vikas Bakshi, Ashwani Gupta and Raj Singh.
