Shaheed Kamal Kishore Samarak inaugurated

Reasi: DDC Chairman Reasi Saraf Singh Nag, District Development Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib on Friday inaugurated the ‘Shaheed Smarak’ which was constructed in the memory of Shaheed Kamal Kishore SGCT who sacrificed his life while fighting with the terrorists in 2018 in Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion, DDC Reasi said the Reasi had witnessed innumerable stories of bravery and courage and it is one of them. Speaking on the occasion Rashmi Wazir SSP Reasi highlighted the bravery, courage and valour of the Martyr Sgct. Kamal Kishore and paid rich tributes to his martyrdom. She told the gathering that Jammu and Kashmir Police is a proud Police force of the nation which is contributing day in and day out in the maintenance of peace and harmony in the UT of J&K. She stressed upon the gathering especially youth present on the occasion to contribute in the maintenance of peace, sovereignty, communal harmony and choose the J&K Police Martyr’s like Sgct Kamal Kishore as their role models.
All speakers on the occasion appreciated Yograj Mengi who is the main person which actively involved in the construction of Shaheed Smarak with financial help of locals and his friends. While paying tribute to the martyr, he said that this memorial is dedicated to Shaheed Kamal Kishore who made supreme sacrifice of his life to protect us from terrorists. He further said, “History of Reasi is full of stories of the valour and sacrifices including that of General Zorawar Singh.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion are Anil Katoch Principal STC Talwara, P K Sharma Commandant IRP Ist Batalian Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag DDC Chairman Reasi, Shashi Puri President MC Reasi, Councillors and prominent citizens. It is pertinent to mention here that Shaheed Kamal Kishore SGCT was also conferred with Shaurya Chakra posthumously for sacrificing his life while fighting the terrorists in 2018. He was from Grah Morh Reasi.
