Senior J&K Police officer preying COVID misery; hunting for partnering in Oxygen Gen Plants

Officer already partner in so many business houses in J&K UT

JAMMU: As the winter capital is grappling with monstrous coronavirus, essentially because of poor health infrastructure especially the shortage of medical oxygen, a senior J&K police officer, already partner in many local business houses, is now looking out for the opportunity to seek partnership in setting up of Oxygen Generation Plants in various hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per informed sources, the senior officer is in advance stage of negotiations with various industrialists to set up the plants throughout the UT, as the heat is warming up against the administration over proportionately lesser number of such facilities in Jammu as compared to the Valley.

Merchants of death

In a bid to avail benefit from the grim situation, the senior police officer is reportedly eying on 25 per cent share in the proposed Oxygen plants. Icing on the cake remains that the investment on the entire project will be borne by the industrialists in lieu of the favour being bestowed in allotting the contract to them due to influential top official. A blue print has been put in place in this regard and finer details are being worked out by the aides of the senior official, who are already on the job and reporting to their boss on daily basis.
The official machinery is moving on faster pace to oblige the senior police officer, who has already high stakes in real estate, transport business, construction of police buildings, procurement of police material, many other sale purchase trades besides running transfer industry in J&K Police.
The Jammu and Kashmir Administration is receiving flak from the intelligentsia as also the general public over discrimination in respect of health infrastructure. The growing number of deaths in the Government Medical College Hospital has put the Health and Medical Education Department in tizzy to have parity with the Valley and to meet the requirements of life saving oxygen in the Jammu Division. This has expedited the process for having more oxygen plants in place as soon as possible.
Privy to the panic in the administration, the senior officer police is capitalizing the situation to his benefit by roping in conduit to be a frontal man for creating the facility of Oxygen General Plants in J&K UT.
