SRINAGAR: A Sanitary Inspector on Monday attempted suicide purportedly by consuming some poisonous substances at Tangdhar area of Kupwara district.As per details, Shabir Ahmad Lone (38), a resident of Handwara consumed some poisonous substance this morning at his residential quarter and was airlifted to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara for treatment, from where he was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment. A case vide FIR No. 102/2020 under Section 309 of IPC has been registered and further investigation has been set in motion.
