PULWAMA: As mark of honour and to commemorate the sacrifices of police martyrs, a Run for Unity was on Monday organised here by District Police Pulwama.On the occasion a race was flagged off under ‘Run for Unity’ from DPL to Peaks Auto, Gangoo by District Development Commissioner, Dr Raghav Langer in presence of SP Pulwama, Ashish Mishra.The event was organized by J&K Police Pulwama in collaboration with District Administration Pulwama .On the occasion, the DDC paid tributes to the martyrs and hailed their sacrifices for upholding the values of unity and integration.He added that the aim of organising such events is to imbibe the spirit of leadership and sportsmanship among youth besides minimising the gaps between people and government.Later on prizes were also distributed among the winners.Among others, SP Pulwama Ashish Mishra, CRPF, Police and other district officers and officials participated in the “Run for Unity”.
