Rose Public School re-opens with new look



JAMMU: Rose Public School, Galuthi (Rajouri) was closed since Mar 2020 due to COVID-19 Nationwide lockdown. The school has been re-opened with a new look given to it with the help of Army on 05 Jan 2021.
The school was functioning from temporary Shelters, which provides middle level education to approximately 120 children from Galuthi and surrounding areas. Due to long period of closure, these shelters required repair and renovation for re-opening of school. The people of area approached the Territorial Army unit for assistance.
Addressing the needs of the students, the Army carried out large scale Shelter renovation and refurbishment of the school premises by repairing periphery fencing, electricity arrangements, construction of three washrooms, washing points, provisioning of Tarpaulin for roofs and laying of paved stone pathway. The school after repair and renovation is giving a better look.
On the occasion of re-opening, a motivation talk on importance of education was also organised which was attended by 65 school children, 20 parents and few local influential personalities of the area.
The students, teachers and locals expressed their gratitude to the Army for extending this timely assistance before re-opening of Rose Public School, Galuthi.
