ROB J&K, PIB Jammu organise webinar on ‘Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat’



JAMMU: Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) , J&K and Press Information Bureau (PIB), Jammu organised a webinar on ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ (EBSB) in coordination with PIB Chennai and ROB Chennai to give wide dissemination to the themes of EBSB with special focus Cities, Towns and important destinations of J&K, Ladakh and Tamil Nadu.
The webinar was presided over by ADG J&K and Ladakh Region Yogesh Baweja who informed audience regarding EBSB as well as its importance in binding people of different states for a meaningful regional information exchange.
Director PIB Chennai Gurubabu Blaram, Director ROB Chennai Kamaraj and Deputy Director, PIB & ROB J&K Ladakh Neha Jalali during their address informed about Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme of Government and the importance of such webinars in binding people of different cultures together.
They informed the audience about earlier webinars on various themes of Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat like Art and culture, Dances, Historical places, Festivals, cuisines, Language and literature.
Khalid Hussain Former Bureaucrat, Writer and poet starting with the history of erstwhile J&K State, then informed about various destinations present in different districts of the UT of J&K and Ladakh.
Hussain informed about notable tourist places like Gulmarg in Baramulla district, Warwan and Marwa in Kishtwar District, Virgin lakes of Rajouri and Doda Districts, Mughal Road connecting Rajouri District of Jammu division and Shopian district of Kashmir Division.
Khalid Hussain also gave historical account of various places and also described religious and cultural significance of these places and informed about developmental, Socio economic aspects of hydro electric power projects in the UT of J&K.
Dr Anuradha D, Prof. and Head Department of Tourism, Loyala College Chennai gave a brief speech and presentation on various cities and towns in Tamil Nadu especially Trichi, Madurai, Thanjavur, Coimbatore, vellore, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, Rameswaram, Cuddalorey, Kanchipuram and Chennai.
Dr Anuradha threw light on various aspects of thes cities viz a viz historical, cultural, tourism, economic, arts and literature as well about their present importance.
Mudasir Amin M&CO, PIB Jammu and Khursheed Yousuf FPO FOB Udhampur gave a brief account of Kashmir Division of UT of J&K and Ladakh region respectively.
The webinar was moderated by Syed Adil Shamim Andrabi FEO ROB J&K and Ladakh.
