JAMMU: To highlight their long pending demands, a number of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers (Physical Education teachers) staged a protest in Jammu on Friday under banner of All J&K Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers Forum (AJKRKTF).
Led by Incharge Jammu Division AJKRKTF Dheeraj Salaria, the protest was attended by a number of aggrieved ReK teachers, who raised slogans in support of their demands.
Dheeraj Salaria, while talking to media, said that we have knocked doors of every administrator for our genuine demands. “Our children are starving. We are unable to provide them even food but Government is least considerate towards our sufferings,” he added. Another protester Adil said that he spent Rs 40 daily as bus fare to reach school. How a person can manage daily needs from remaining Rs 60, as we are receiving Rs 100 per day in this time high inflation, he asserted.
Dheeraj, on behalf of AJKRKTF President Showkat Ahmad Khan, urged LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary to resolve all genuine demands of ReK teachers at the earliest, failing which they would be forced to intensify their agitation in coming days.
