STATE TIMES NEWSUDHAMPUR: Municipal Committee Udhampur (MCU) Inspector faced wrath of Rehri-Phari vendors when they allegedly entered into heat exchanges with President Rehri-Fahri union on Monday as a result Municipality inspector forced to leave the spot. Later Union held protest against Municipality.Trouble erupted while the Municipality inspector went to Rehari-Farhi Monday market and raised objections. President of vendors union alleged that inspector assaulted him publically after losing her cool. On seeing the aggressive attitude of the Municipality inspector Ram Pal, all vendors assembled in the Monday market and held protest against the Municipality for causing harassment to them. Union leaders said district administration itself provided particular area temporarily to setup Monday market after removing them their stalls around Gole market and Mukherjee Bazaar.Union members raised slogans against the Municipality and demanded action against the inspector who allegedly assaulted their president. Protestors urged Deputy Commissioner to intervene into the matter and initiate strong action against the erring inspector.
