JAMMU: A number of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers (Physical education Teachers) staged protest outside BJP office Jammu under banner of AJKRKTF led by Dheeraj Salaria Overall Incharge Jammu. The protest was attended by a number of ReK teachers, who raised slogans in support of their demands. They were demanding probation of 2 years as in other Union Territories.Dheeraj Salaria, while talking to media said, “We have knocked doors of every administrator. Our children are starving and we are unable to provide proper milk to our babies.”Another protester Shahbaz Katoch, while talking to media, said that he spent Rs 40 daily as bus fare to reach school. One can easily guess how a person can manage his daily needs from remaining Rs 60, as I am getting Rs 100 per day, he added.The protestors urged LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary to initiate measures for resolving all issues of ReK teachers, failing which they would further intensify their agitation.
